Patented solutions

Ultramax is distinguished by its large Filter mass capacity. The applied patented solutions such as the preFilter, the double ball valve system and the self-pouring Filter system guarantee comfort of use and high filtration efficiency.

PreFilter

Capacious 1.5-liter preFilter built into the cover of the device effectively retains large impurities, which significantly reduces the frequency of servicing the Filter. Cleaning the preFilter itself is very simple and does not even require removing the device from the Cabinet. Just lift the lid, remove the Sponge from the basket and rinse it under running water.

Double ball valve system

Aquarists know that a critical stage of work that requires access to the interior of the Filter is usually the disconnection of the inlet and outlet hoses from the device. The remaining water in the Filter usually spills out onto the floor, which causes justifiable irritation. To avoid this, a patented system of double ball valves was used. They simultaneously close the Filter inlet and outlet in the lid and the lumen of the hoses and block the uncontrolled escape of water.

Self-pouring of the Filter

All you need to do is make 2 to 4 movements of the plunger and you’re done. The Filter will be flooded with aquarium water. Simple?

Infinitely adjustable performance

Controlling the performance of the Filter is extremely simple and intuitive. It is done by turning the small lever of the right valve. It is convenient to use and clearly marked, which makes the output adjustment easy for aquarists, even when doing it for the first time.

Efficient

A large number of Filter cartridges housed in baskets with a capacity of 1.9 liters each, provide effective mechanical and biological filtration. The number of baskets ranges from 3 to 5, which, combined with the preFilter capacity, offers a total capacity of 6.3 liters to 10.10 liters for Filter media.

Discreet

The well-thought-out design of the pump impeller and its chambers and ceramic impeller axis ensure almost inaudible Filter operation, so you can place the aquarium even in a bedroom or room where you are working.

Low power consumption

All Ultramax Filter models feature very low electricity consumption. The Ultramax 1000 has an output of just 15 watts, the Ultramax 1500 has 16 watts and the Ultramax 2000 has 24 watts. Thanks to technical changes to the Filters, the 2000 model, manufactured from 08.2023, has had its power consumption reduced by almost 30% and is currently only 17 watts.

Choose your Ultramax

There are three models in the line, varying in performance. Choose the one best suited to your aquarium’s needs: Ultramax 1000 is designed for tanks up to 300 liters, Ultramax 1500 up to 450 liters, and Ultramax 2000 up to 700 liters.

Filtration and prefiltration

A large number of Filter cartridges placed in baskets with a capacity of 1.9 liters each, ensure effective mechanical and biological filtration. The number of baskets, depending on the selected model, ranges from 3 to 5. The built-in Sponge preFilter, with a capacity of about 0.6 liters, captures coarser mechanical impurities, preventing them from reaching the interior of the Filter. This ensures excellent filtration efficiency, as well as protecting the device from clogging. What’s more, cleaning the preFilter is very easy and doesn’t even require unplugging the Filter from the power supply or removing it from the Cabinet. Just lift the lid, remove the Sponge from the basket and rinse it under running water.
